Guilty as charged: Fox’s “You the Jury” ended the 2016-17 television season as the lowest-rated show across the Big 4 broadcast networks. The Jeanine Pirro-hosted series averaged a mere 1.765 million total viewers in its shortened run, which only aired two episodes before being yanked from Fox’s schedule. That lowly number includes 7 days worth of delayed viewing per episode, by the way, which is especially important for a show sentenced to Fridays, as “You the Jury” was. “You the Jury,” which aimed to let America decide civil cases via text-messaging, averaged a weak 0.4 in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic.

In Peter Stone's world, everything is simple and straightforward.
For him, all good people have to do is cooperate with investigations and testify against criminals and the world will be a safer place.
Except, as he learned the hard way on Chicago Justice Season 1 Episode 10, it doesn't always work that way.
Stone risked the life of one young child to try to get justice for another and may have weakened Constitutional protections to shut down the cell phone accounts of suspected gang members.
Even after the tragic results of all this, has Stone learned his lesson?
Stone was driving me nuts with his simplistic world view throughout "Drill." He wasn't the only one, though.
From the beginning of the hour, there seemed to be an undertone of racism in this story.
The pre-credits sequence was designed to make viewers think Ernest Williams was some random violent dude with a gun,...

American Idol has a lot in common with the country it's named after — a swift rise, fueled by lofty populist ideals and naked aggression, world conquest, such giddy heights, then the tragic skid into despair and and it's all somehow Fox's fault. The end of the Idol empire should have been a much bigger deal. It should have been an event. But instead, last night's farewell episode just kind of dribbled away, like the final season overall. "Let's do a Bowie tribute, except instead of Adam Lambert or Fantasia, we'll...

Most fans of the original Extreme Championship Wrestling agree that matches between Taz and Sabu on pay-per-view failed to live up to the hype. Ironically, the pair would have some decent bouts on television, but those were mainly tag-team scraps featuring others. At both the Barely Legal 1997 and Living Dangerously 1999 pay-per-view events, many fans were left disappointed by the disjointed action served up by both men.
It was baffling to most why Taz and Sabu didn’t gel despite their lengthy rivalry. With others, such as Shane Douglas and Rob Van Dam, both guys had excellent matches. Indeed, one such bout between Taz and Douglas from Guilty As Charged 1999 should be considered under-rated. That’s exactly what is analysed and assessed here, 10 different Ecw pay-per-view matches that aren’t often given the credit they deserve.

The Real Housewives of New York City celebrated its 100th episode Tuesday night, and the centennial was appropriately filled with drama.
The girls' trip to Turks and Caicos continued with Ramona Singer pouring out her heart to Bethenny Frankel about the demise of her marriage.
"I know what lonely is," Singer told Frankel.
"You had a great relationship," Frankel replied. "You're scared."
"He's part of me," said a tearful Singer. "He may not be good for me, but he's part of me."
Continued Singer, who began to weep before Frankel held her: "It's like I'm losing a part of myself … he's part of my soul.

Pre-credit sequence. Storms seem to be building as No Collar returns to camp. "Nina got what was coming to her," Hali cackles, malevolently, as if Nina had done her any harm at all. Hali explains to Will that his name only came up twice as a safety net. Will says that No Collar has the unit they want, but he also knows that he's doomed unless he can get Joe to turn on the girls this early. He eats things that would make a billy-goat puke. Yikes. There's a big snake over at Blue Collar. Mike successfully machetes the snake and he skins it for dinner. Actually, it's not that big at all, but Mike is willing to eat anything, as he proved with the scorpion situation. Rodney is hesitant, but he wants protein. It seems that the hatchet has been buried between Rodney and Mike. That's nice! Major cluck-up.

Season 25 of The Amazing Race has been amazingly entertaining. Last time we watched duos attempt to herd an angry group of sheep into pens while running them through a maze of fences (who needs a staff, or a real shepherd, anyway!) to make some authentic Viking torches. Guilty as charged - I love it when the show has Vikings on it.
After Scott suffered a severe ankle injury in the very beginning of the leg, firemen Scott Strazzullo and Michael Ward, unable to make up enough time, were eliminated from The Amazing Race. So who will take the lead on this leg of the race? Let's find out!

"Reality Bites" turned 20 years old last month, and we're guessing you've probably spent at least half that amount of time attempting to exorcise Lisa Loeb's "Stay" from your head. While my sister was aware of the hit single spawned by Ben Stiller's 1994 comedy-drama -- which stars Winona Ryder, Ethan Hawke, Janeane Garofalo and Steve Zahn as a group of Houston, Texas post-graduates struggling with life, love and employment issues -- she'd never seen the film.
I was a teenager when the movie released, and I remember looking to it as a handbook for what life would likely be like when I graduated from college. Love triangles! Creativity threatened by practicality! Sexily tousled greasy locks! If adulthood meant being like Winona Ryder's Lelaina, I was totally on board. So, I decided to see how the film held up, and take my sister along for the ride, for this month's Sibling Revivalry.

One of William Shakespeare’s most inspired works, Romeo and Juliet is possibly Cinema’s most intrigued subject. Bollywood soon followed with multiple versions from time to time. From Qayamat se Qayamat Tak to Ishqzaade lately and the very forgetful Issaq, the versions have maintained the common thread, each further altered per director’s vision. It’s interesting what someone once said – that Indian audiences like their movies to end with the happily ever after. That possibly explains why films on lovers’ sacrifices haven’t really worked magic at the box office. That did not deter filmmakers to pursue their continued obsession of the theme, the latest being Sanjay Leela Bhansali, whose film Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela releases in theatres this week. Can Slb take this simple charm of the film, maintain the core soul, yet reinvent it to a distinguished feel and appealing watch?

Tiff’s Midnight Madness program turned 25 this year, and for two and half decades, the hardworking programers have gathered some of the strangest, most terrifying, wild, intriguing and downright entertaining films from around the world. From dark comedies to Japanese gore-fests and indie horror gems, the Midnight Madness program hasn’t lost its edge as one the leading showcases of genre cinema. In its 25-year history, Midnight Madness has introduced adventurous late-night moviegoers to such cult faves as Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused and Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. But what separates Midnight Madness from, say, Montreal’s three and half week long genre festival Fantasia, is that Tiff selects only ten films to make the cut. In other words, these programmers don’t mess around. Last week I decided that I would post reviews of my personal favourite films that screened in past years. And just like the Tiff programmers,...

Films often portray short hair on women as a product of illness, or even criminality. In Bonjour Tristesse, a young Jean Seberg showed the powerful message a short 'do can send out
Otto Preminger's lush CinemaScope melodrama Bonjour Tristesse, rereleased this week, is a showcase for gorgeousness. The Côte d'Azur glitters in pristine, vibrant Technicolor; Paris smoulders in smoky monochrome. But while the film's ostensible love triangle of Deborah Kerr, David Niven and Mylène Demongeot pose prettily on the Riviera in costumes by Givenchy and Hermès, the star of this show is 20-year-old Jean Seberg. In a chic cocktail dress or a swimsuit and a man's denim shirt, Seberg is radiantly beautiful, and with that signature pixie crop, unforgettably, arrestingly cool too.
A couple of years later, Seberg would take her best-known role, as the très moderne American girl Patricia in Jean-Luc Godard's À bout de souffle. It...

The British Isles. The United States of America. Two veritable juggernauts in the world today, I’m sure no one will argue. In the realm of television, the influence of both countries can be seen very strongly, leading, inevitably, to many drawing comparisons between the two countries’ television programs and asking that age-old question; which is better?
What? You want me to tell you? What makes you think I have any idea? Personally, my allegiance is divided. I’m technically a British citizen, so I’ve got to have some national pride, but I can’t escape the behemoth that is American Television. Such networks as AMC and HBO have become well known in Britain, and have imported a great many of their shows to various British channels. So, yeah, it’s pretty hard for Britons to escape them, and thus many start to appreciate them. Guilty as charged.

Thrash Metal has been with us for so long now that bands and albums are already classifiable as Classic, Old-School and Modern. After creating a list which counted down the 10 Greatest Thrash Metal Albums Of All Time, I thought it only appropriate to tackle the 10 Greatest Modern Classics Of Thrash Metal, as many recent albums are just as worthy as those released back in Thrash’s 80s heyday.
Thrash Metal has made an astonishing comeback over the last 10 years, with many of the classic Thrash bands reforming and recording new material. I’ve taken great care to balance their output with the new breed of Thrash bands, hopefully providing a balanced overview of the genre as it stands today.
Thrash is arguably as popular today as it was 25 years ago and with the recent success of the ‘Big Four’ Tour (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax, together on one bill for...

Tegan and Sara Quin are twin sisters from Calgary that decided to start their career in music in 1995. Their band is known as ‘Tegan and Sara’, and as of now, it was mainly an indie rock band that, as such, appealed to a small niche of public. Despite being featured in many TV shows over the years – Grey’s Anatomy, Veronica Mars, The L Word or Vampire Diaries, among others – and doing collaborations with mainstream artists like Tiesto, they had never really tried to break the mainstream market, perhaps to be true to their indie fan-base. That is until now, because their new album ‘Heartthrob’ combines the soul and lyrics of the truest Tegan and Sara but with an 80’s-influenced electronic production and addicting hooks, obtaining incredible results.
The lyrical content of the album gyrates around the concept of love, yet from a melancholic, not always happy perspective,...

When reviewing games I have been guilty of using words like cinematic and filmic as adjectives and, perhaps wrongly, compliments. Games like Resistance 3, Uncharted 3 and Asura’s Wrath have all had this weak and uninspired comment thrown their way. By me. Guilty as charged.
“So what’s wrong with that?” I do not hear you say, but I imagine it. Well, it dawned on me just recently that perhaps games trying to be like movies is a bad thing, and that perhaps it will be the downfall of the entire industry. Maybe even the world. It wont.
Here are five reasons that I think games shouldn’t be like films:
5. They Are Always Too Short!
To give a game a cinematic feel takes an awful lot of work. Take Uncharted for example, the cut scenes are meticulously animated, voice acted and lip synced to be absolutely perfect and just as engrossing as a real movie.

Season 3 of the show, titled "Spartacus: War of the Damned," will arrive in January 2013, and once those 10 episodes are done airing, that's it. No more twisted betrayals among Romans and their oppressed gladiators and slaves; no more sweaty, muscular warriors wielding an impressive array of sharp implements; no more epic battles featuring creative dismemberments and oceans of blood.
It's shocking but true: "Spartacus," which garnered a passionately devoted following and impressive ratings for Starz, will be over for good by the spring of 2013.
"Steven DeKnight, Rob Tapert, Josh Donen and Sam Raimi have made one of the most groundbreaking shows we have ever seen," Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said in a statement. "We are in...

The Bachelor host Chris Harrison questioned key witnesses in the case of The People vs. Courtney Robertson during the Women Tell All episode on Monday night.
When America's Most Wanted reality star took the stand, she apologetically expressed "regrets…for the way I acted, how I treated the women." Guilty as charged for stealing Ben Flajnik's heart and integrity, she said tearfully, "I don't like being torn apart by family and friends, in the tabloids. I'm sorry for hurting Ben. I cared for him and still do."
Sneak Peek: 'Bachelor' Women Confront Courtney!
Courtney pointedly confronted her hung jury of fellow bachelorettes, individually addressing a few of the women she insulted the most. Some called a truce, but Jennifer accessed the words as Courtney's effort "to repair her image”"and Nicki didn't "buy it for a second." Emily O'Brien spoke about the irony of Courtney seeking forgiveness after denying her that same courtesy during an earlier...

Last week's The Lying Game ended with an ab-tastic Ethan Whitehorse getting arrested by the FBI. In "Not Guilty as Charged," Ethan was brought back to Phoenix, booked on murder charges and had a pretty interesting arraignment.
My only gripe about an otherwise flawless episode is the fact that something about the law stuff seemed a bit off. Now I don't know all that much about thise area, but if the FBI arrested Ethan, wouldn't he have been booked in a Federal prison? Also, how did a local Da take over the case? Lastly, if Alec recused himself, why was he at the arraignment? Okay, onto the good!
You all know I was a bit bored with the time at the ranch, but Ben Whitehorse left us with a few gems during his conversation with Thayer. First of all, he obviously witnessed the taboo romantic moment between Ethan and Sutton.

The Brave Little Toaster
Directed by Jerry Rees
Written by Jerry Rees and Joe Ranft
Starring Deanna Oliver, Jon Lovitz, Thurl Ravenscroft
Originality is so rare these days that we latch onto anything that doesn’t smell of being laughably, obviously derivative. Of course, when I say “we,” I mean film buffs because there’s no denying that the latest Transformers film, the third film in a franchise of movies based on a line of toys that inspired a 1980s-era cartoon, is nowhere near original yet made an insane amount of money at the worldwide box office. So not everyone craves originality all of the time. But even the masses crave it enough that when a movie comes along that presents something unique, whether it’s a story, a character, or a new world, we salivate over it like a dog in front of a steak.
And so it is...

Long time no spoil, Roomies! Actually, it hasn’t been a long time. We last spoke on Friday, and I don’t like clingy people, so this is just enough of you. Kidding. I honestly can’t get enough of your questions/musings/rambling letters. The more the better — because reading them actually counts as work! So keep it up. You know how: spoilerroom@ew.com or @EWSandraG on what the kids are calling Twitter. See you fellow spoiler freaks next on Friday.

Guilty as charged: We love Pretty Little Liars! And now one of our favorite characters, Spencer Hastings, is facing the music herself as the prime suspect in her best friend's murder. With the hit teen thriller racing toward its first-season finale, we grilled Troian Bellisario about her character's legal troubles, Spencer's new romance with the former murder suspect—and the actress' hopes to play Katniss in The Hunger Games movie... In Monday night's episode, the police discover that Spencer had a relationship with her sister's boyfriend, Ian, and "now feel like they have a reason to suspect Spencer because she had a motive to get rid of Allison: she was jealous," Troian reveals....
