Sex & Nudity

  • Beyond nudity added by the distributor for the vhs version, there isn't much nudity on display. These extra scenes aren't in the actual film (the bluray version features them as extras). There are brief (very brief) shots of breasts and lots of implied sex. There are moments where women wear skimpy outfits.

Violence & Gore

  • All on-camera 'violence' is performed by the lead character in comedy slapstick. Remaining violence (and supposed gore) is implied off-camera. One exception may regard the female lead character surrounded by CGI-added fire, where at the moment of an explosion the scene cuts to an exploding stock-shot cabin.

Profanity

  • There is no strong language in Runaway Nightmare, except that a character exclaims, "Jesus Christ!"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A brief shot at a bar sequence shows a female character drinking from a bottle of a clear liquid, assumed to be vodka. A later sequence has a quick shot of another character drinking from a vodka/gin fifth-sized bottle. During the same sequence in another quick shot, a group of female characters sit around a large hooka holding onto various strands with the implication that they are smoking from the pipe.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The ending has a jarring flash cut where a character physically changes. Although the sequence is tame, some younger viewers may find it frightening (while many find it comical).
