modern fairy tale of a young woman who seeks safety
cameron-1811 July 2000
Meret Becker gives a great performance, as does Michael Gwisdek. Both appear in double roles, as does the young TV-Actor Felix Eitner. Actor-Director Levy once more proves that he knows how to bring the best from both worlds (acting and directing) on the big screen. The locations (Iceland and Nevada, USA) are superb, as is the stunt scene where Meret Becker is about to fall into a gigantic waterfall. The story is (in-)tense and the longer you see the film, the more you understand that everybody involved in the production seems to have enjoy working on this project. Niki Reiser's score is, badly enough, not available on CD although it really sneaks under your skin.
