I loved it as a child. I watched it glued to the TV screen - it had the adventure, the reliable characters, the mystery, everything I loved as a child, yet it was not oversimplified. Definitely one of the best YA series I saw. Almost 20 years later I still enjoy it when it appears in TV during summer break.
