Lopez excited many fans earlier this year when she gave a little insight into her marriage with Affleck. They officially wedded in Las Vegas, before celebrating their marriage at a much larger scenario. Lopez and Affleck once toyed with the idea of getting married at the actor’s estate in Georgia. But they both decided against it because of the press coverage they’d receive. Up until their actual wedding, Lopez started to doubt they’d exchange their vows at all.

Jennifer Lopez's life and career have taken the world on an unforgettable roller-coaster ride. We've witnessed the ups, downs, and unexpected twists in between. She may not always be a favorite among critics, but Lopez has continued to produce films through her company Nuyorican Productions, elevating herself to celeb royalty. As she juggles the many crowns she wears, one that deserves the spotlight is her role in essentially being our first Latina rom-com queen.
Sure, some of her earlier films, like 2002's "Maid in Manhattan," were criticized for perpetuating Latina stereotypes. But despite the naysayers, Lopez has never given up her spot as a rom-com star. The 2005 romantic comedy "Monster-in-Law," which she stars in alongside Jane Fonda, followed those less desirable films and became one of her highest-grossing films to date.

For six seasons, The Crown told the story of the British royal family during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The show combined real-life events with acts of imagination, meaning that it was not always a hundred percent accurate. Season four of the series introduced everyone’s beloved Princess Diana, played by Emma Corrin, who later handed over the role to Elizabeth Debicki in season five.
The Crown Season 4
Emma Corrin, though a great actor, had only a few acting credits to their name before being cast as Lady Diana. Needless to say, the job made them quite nervous. After all, they were bringing one of the United Kingdom’s most popular personalities to the screen. In fact, there was one scene where they got a panic attack while filming.

Royal chef Darren McGrady reveals that Princess Diana had a “risky” and bold sense of humor. McGrady worked as the chef for the Princess of Wales and other royal family members for 15 years. He enjoyed many fun times with the late Princess of Wales and said her “risky” and bold sense of humor was always a delight.

While Princess Diana was known to be quiet and shy for many years, she was the opposite. When she first married into the royal family at 20, she had yet to find her voice.

Jennifer Lopez once famously teamed up alongside actor Ralph Fiennes for the 2002 feature Maid in Manhattan. But the movie was a huge departure for the actor, who realized it was the type of film he just couldn’t deliver on.

Fiennes is known for starring in films with heavy subject matter and complex storytelling. Many fans recognize him as some of cinema’s most sinister characters such as Voldemort from Harry Potter or Amon Goeth from Schindler’s List. But he took a break from starring in his usual films to do a romcom alongside Jennifer Lopez in 2002. This week’s episode of The Masked Singer saw Group C hit the stage with four new contestants. When the episode ended, two newcomers had to face off in the Smackdown. Luckily for Lizard, he won out in the Smackdown round. Spaghetti & Meatballs unmasked as restaurateur and MasterChef judge Joe Bastianich. But who is Lizard?
Here is what Lizard sang on The Masked Singer, his clue package, and who we think is under the mask.
Lizard Performs On The Masked Singer
Lizard came out on The Masked Singer this week and performed a Billy Joel song on the night honoring the legendary singer/songwriter. For Lizard, the song was “Uptown Girl.” Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg said he was clearly a “showman” while Rita Ora said he was “tiny.” Lizard was in the bottom two and in the Smackdown round, he and Spaghetti & Meatballs sang “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).”

Were you as pleased as we were that the judges saved the Lizard on the March 20 episode of “The Masked Singer”? We liked this fellow from the moment he strode on stage and blew the roof off the joint with his rollicking rendition of “Uptown Girl” by Billy Joel Seger. So we were beyond pleased when he won the Smackdown against Spaghetti and Meatballs after they duelled on the ditty “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).”

On the movie screen, Jennifer Lopez is known for being a romantic comedy queen in films like "Maid in Manhattan," "Monster-in-Law," and "Marry Me." However, on Netflix, she appears to be pursuing a wholly different crown and going after action movie and genre glory. Sure, Lopez has made her share of genre thrillers, especially early in her career: "Money Train," "Anaconda," "U Turn," and "Out of Sight," most notably. Yet it's her turn in 2023's "The Mother" that marked her debut as a fully-fledged action star and now she's following that up with a lead performance in a big-budget sci-fi shoot 'em up, if the new trailer for Netflix's "Atlas" is any indication.
As a co-producer as well as star of "Atlas," Lopez has put together a pretty promising team to bring her next Netflix-distributed action venture to life. Alongside co-stars Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, and Mark Strong, the...

This is Me…Now: A Love Story is a film starring Jennifer Lopez and directed by Dave Meyers.
I must confess, at first I had no desire to watch this film, but as a professional, I felt obligated. However, I must also confess that we were pleasantly surprised by this original musical, written and starring Jennifer Lopez, which revolves around her own life and love affairs, as one may expect.
However, “This is Me…Now: A Love Story” is not just about the romances known from magazines and television. It is a futuristic video clip with several musical numbers, each with high quality in terms of photography and set design. Although it may seem self-centered and geared towards her fans, I must admit that “This is Me…Now: A Love Story” is of great quality and production.

Usher’s first studio album in six years largely operates as a high-wire homecoming of sorts for the R&b singer. Released two days before his halftime performance at Super Bowl Lviii and following a highly successful Las Vegas residency, Coming Home feels less driven by creative ingenuity or an aesthetic vision than by sheer showmanship. This is further emphasized by the inclusion of the sleepy “Risk It All,” a duet with H.E.R. from the Color Purple soundtrack, and a remix of BTS member Jungkook’s “Standing Next to You,” both of which, thematically and sonically, have little in common with anything else on the album.
Which is to say that the 20-track Coming Home, like many of Usher’s post-Confessions output, is a bit of a bloated mess. For every few colorless duds defined by their embrace of contemporary R&b, such as the overly smooth “Kissing Strangers” or the brassy “Big,...

While preparing for his Super Bowl halftime performance, Usher achieved another goal: He finished recording his ninth album. Coming Home was released on Friday, two days before he celebrates his 30-year career at the big game.
“Life couldn’t be in a better situation for me right now,” he tells The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s going pretty great.”
The album is a 20-track R&b adventure and features collaborations with Latto, Burna Boy, The-Dream and Pheelz, who appears on the current single “Ruin.” Previously released songs include BTS’ Jungkook, 21 Savage, Summer Walker and H.E.R.
Coming Home is Usher’s first independent project, released through his new label Mega with famed music executive L.A. Reid.
Ahead of his Super Bowl performance, the singer talked to THR about his new album, how he reworked Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl” to create a new track, the advice that the King of Pop gave him and more.

During a recent interview for Elle magazine‘s 2023 Women in Hollywood December/January issue, the multihyphenate admitted that she “really came in blind” and looking back would be more selective in what she takes on.
“I didn’t have that luxury, being Latina. I didn’t get called in for everything someone who wasn’t Latina would get called in for. I got called in for very specific things,” Lopez explained. “As I started getting more leads here and there, I should have pulled back. I took that mindset with me instead of going, ‘I should only work with certain kinds of directors that I really want to work with. I should choose this material in a different way.’”
The Hustlers star continued, “I just wasn’t as particular as I could be,...

The countdown to Billy Joel’s last Madison Square Garden concert has begun.
On October 20, the first of Joel’s last ten concerts at Msg kicked off to a nostalgic start as he sang his top hits like “Uptown Girl” and “Piano Man” throughout the show. That Friday, he told his fans he had “bad news” and “good news.”
“The bad news is I don’t have any new songs for you,” he said during the concert. “The good news is you don’t have to sit through songs you didn’t know that you don’t want to hear in the first place.”
Since 2014, the Grammy singer has played one show at Msg every month. The 74-year-old currently holds the most appearances at Msg and is planning to end at 150 shows next year.

Welcome to The B-Side from The Film Stage. Here we usually talk about movie stars! Not the movies that made them famous or kept them famous, but the ones that they made in between. Today, we talk to a music supervisor! And one of the great music supervisors! Randall Poster!
We discuss his new film Priscilla, how working with Sofia Coppola compares to working with someone like Wes Anderson, and––most importantly––how they chose what music would be in the movie.
There’s also talk of Poster’s early career. There’s the film he co-wrote (A Matter of Degrees) in 1990 and the early indies he made with Christine Vachon (including Office Killer). There’s also Maid in Manhattan, directed by past guest Wayne Wang. Finally, Poster worked on the criminally-underrated indie Diggers, which you should watch.
This is a fun, special episode about the kind of crew member...

We recently had the good fortune to speak with the talented, prolific filmmaker Wayne Wang about his long career, in particular his film Dim Sum: A Little Bit of Heart, whose Director-Approved Special Edition Blu-ray is now available from Criterion and also streaming on the Criterion Channel. Additional B-Sides we chatted about with Wang included Eat a Bowl of Tea, Life Is Cheap… But Toilet Paper Is Expensive (also on Criterion Channel), Smoke (and its own B-Side Blue in the Face), Chinese Box, and A Thousand Years of Good Prayers.
Wang elaborated on making films efficiently, his career-long ambition to make a different kind of picture every time, how he constructed the perfect “pillow shot” (an homage to filmmaker Yasujirō Ozu) in Dim Sum, and some smaller films of his that he hopes more people discover. There’s also talk about his faltering first steps into Hollywood (Slam Dance) and...

Christie Brinkley is calling trolls out for being unkind, specifically those in her Instagram comments.
The former Sports Illustrated model recently shared a selfie on Instagram, accompanied by two snaps of the One World Trade Center building in New York City.
In the initial post, her caption declared herself a “Downton Girl,” nearly 40 years after famously being ex-husband Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl.”
But upon receiving hateful comments about the 69-year-old’s wrinkles, she updated her caption calling out the “Wrinkle Brigade,” who she said “are the people that scan celebrities pages, hoping to find some cellulite, wrinkles, or anything that they can point to critique.”
“It must be some form of compensation for something that they are lacking,” Brinkley continued.
The mother-of-three also took time to acknowledge those who were kind to her and left loving comments.
“But when those people appear, there are others who pop up with messages so kind and valuable,...

Olivia Rodrigo is finally ready to share some new music, with her new single, “Vampire,” arriving June 30.
Admittedly, beyond the announcement — which is obviously monumental in and of itself — there weren’t that many details about “Vampire” to share. Rodrigo wrote the song with producer Daniel Nigro, with whom she made Sour. The song will also get a special seven-inch vinyl single release featuring Rodrigo’s first demo of the song. Beyond that, all that’s left to do is wait — but what’s two-and-a-half weeks after more than two years?...

Paul McCartney has written many of the most iconic songs in music history. However, in an industry as competitive as music, there are times when he’s heard a track and become envious that he didn’t think of it first. While the former Beatle doesn’t have much to be jealous about, there are a few songs he wishes were his.

It’s become a standard track for many musicians to learn and has been recorded over 1,500 times as an instrumental or vocal track.

Rom-coms arguably saw their heyday in the late ’90s and early ’00s. Now some of the stars who powered hit movies then are helping bring the genre back, and getting their own career boost in return.
The chief example may be Reese Witherspoon, who took a break from producing and starring in hit TV series to return to an old-fashioned romp with Netflix’s “Your Place or Mine,” which premiered on Feb. 10. Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock and Julia Roberts — actors who defined the genre back in the day — have all returned to rom-coms in the past year. All four have gotten a measurable lift in Parrot Analytics‘ Talent Demand score, which takes into account consumer research, streaming, downloads and social media, among other engagement.

Audiences watching newer works are going on to revisit classic films — think Roberts’ “Notting Hill” or Lopez’s “Maid in Manhattan.

“Healthy,” “vigorous,” and “fit to serve” were some of the words President Joe Biden’s physician used to describe history’s oldest president after a routine exam Thursday. But Stephen Colbert noted that some of the results aren’t in yet.
“Now, here’s the thing,” Colbert said. “We don’t have the full results yet, but we do know the president tested positive for ‘old af.'”
Biden went in for his annual physical earlier in the day at Walter Reed Hospital. He had a small lesion on his chest that was removed for a biopsy; the results are still pending. The president also had exams that showed his head, ears, eyes, nose, and throat were normal.
