As much as the (current german) trailer reveals, might be repeated here: Little boy is supposed to study in medicine in the big town. But sunny boy prefers party, and delivering happy pills for shady guys. When daddy finds out, He takes him back to the village, locks him up in the dogs cage, gives him a "doctor novel" to read: "When you know this out of memory, you can go".
The movie mixes lots of genres, a little bit of Comedy, Farce, Thriller, and social study. Enough to carry on the movie, but not enough to satisfy. regularly it builds up expectations only to tell you "gotcha!" - but very weak and unenthusiastic. Might be it's trying to break conventions - but only a little bit.
Nonetheless, it is charming, the actors (again: somewhat stereotype, somewhat "interesting") are convincing in what they do, and both daddy and sunny boys little "pearl" are a joy to watch. Nice, but not necessary.
