WWE is continuing to deal with fallout from sexual-abuse allegations facing its former longtime chief Vince McMahon, with shares in parent Tko Group Holdings slipping Monday as investors weigh the potential downside.
Shares in Tko fell 4.4% today on nearly twice their normal trading volume, closing at $82.73. The stock is well below the level where it began trading last September after the merger of WWE with the UFC in a newly public entity controlled by Endeavor Group Holdings. One prominent Wall Street firm earlier Monday flagged “brand and legal risk” to Tko from the lawsuit filed against McMahon and former WWE talent chief John Laurinaitis by former employee Janel Grant, who offered graphic details in laying out accusations of sex trafficking, battery and rape.
McMahon, who in 2022 disclosed paying more than $12 million to multiple women to resolve other sexual misconduct complaints, has denied Grant’s claims.

Hulk Hogan's beachside bar in Tampa looked more like a WWE-style Royal Rumble when a brawl broke out over the weekend ... complete with bikini-clad chicks slapping headlocks on each other. The Hulkster's joint, Hogan’s Beach, erupted when -- well, we really don't know what started the whole thing, but we know there was at least one hot chick in the middle of the action. On Fourth of July weekend ... just add booze, and...

The 20,000 New Yorkers in attendance lapped it up, beginning a summer tradition of enduring quality. As we approach the 27th SummerSlam, we have to say that it has arguably been WWE’s greatest event ever. Think back over SummerSlam history, then compare it to WrestleMania history. You’d have to say that the August...

The number of viewers that watch WWE Monday Night Raw every week doesn’t really concern the average wrestling fan, but in a lot of ways it should. Why? Because USA Network and WWE care about those ratings quite a bit. They look at things like what hour was the best, what individuals consistently see increases in their segments and what they can do to make things better.
This week’s ratings were down from last week by an average of 500,000 viewers. That’s a significant number. Prowrestling.net reports that the rating was a 3.15, down from the 3.24 last week.
The overall viewer number for this week’s show was 4.21 million. Hour one did 4.428 million viewers, hour two drew 4.2 million viewers and the final hour averaged 3.98 million viewers. While there are no immediate numbers for how many fans watch on TiVo or other DVR services, reported numbers in the past...

“Hollywood” Hulk Hogan is right. The World Wrestling Entertainment champion, who held on to his belt for an unprecedented four years, took his blond locks and 24-inch pythons to Tinseltown, starring in such actioners as “No Holds Barred” and “The Ultimate Weapon” as well as kid-friendly comedies like “Suburban Commando” and “Mr. Nanny” while grappling for the World Championship Wrestling, World Tag Team and Royal Rumble championships. His very first film role, though, was in Sylvester Stallone’s “Rocky III,” in which he plays Thunderlips, a flamboyant pro wrestler whom the Italian Stallion spars with in what is supposed to be an exhibition match for charity. The Hulk’s brief appearance serves as a metaphor for the film’s plot (Rocky doesn’t take the match seriously until he’s humiliated in the ring) and thematic meditation on the circus that fame brings.
Choice Quotation:
[Thunderlips holds Rocky in the air]
Thunderlips: No one can believe the superhuman strength of Thunderlips!
