- Human skin leather is seen in a warehouse and worn as masks.
- There are several suicides.
- There is an implied incest relationship.
- There is a lot of cult and occult activity in this film.
- The town is full of monstrous fish-men a lot creepier than the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
- The edited version is not so bad.
