'Larry Buchanan' Must Be Rolling In His Grave with a smile !

ATOMIC SPACE BUG Available at Indieflix.com Starring : Conrad Brooks. This film will surprise ,Fans of all those Creature Features before! I really like the fact they pay tribute to their idols in all phases of production. The opening was like all those warnings from William Castle, "You are going to be scared----Just listen to my directions on how to survive ATOMI-VISION !" ASB comes off like a MST30000 version of the 'Original' THING !,You have an unbeatable alien and people trying everything to stop it. Notable performances from this 'Robert Forster'- ish Sheriff and Conrad Brooks with a bunch of lines and defined character.

Very cool little movie.

Conrad Brooks cracks me up. He takes cornball to its most respectable. This film surprised me with some really legitimate acting and a well thought out plot. The Voice overs were hysterical (i.e. Intro of the town). When that big guy stands up in the beginning...I guess you'll have to see it. Nice job. Not a bad Saturday afternoon flick. Not too heavy. It was fun.

Movie is very funny

Movie is very funny. It reminded me of "Plan 9 From Outer Space" which also stars Conrad Brooks, who I might add is absolutely brilliant. Jonathan M. Parisen is the Ed Wood of the 21st century. I recommend for everyone to watch for a good laugh.

atomic space bug

I recently watched the atomic space bug. Let me first off say I am an actor and I hate critics more than anything. I have always learned that a critic is a leg less man that teaches running, but in my case i actually do the running myself so it might be ok for me to be a critic this time around. First off I really liked the movie. Jon is getting better as a director and this is evident in this film. The stand out in this project was Scott LoBaido. In my opinion he stole every scene he was in. I also really thought the bug outfit was fantastic for an indie film. That also just so happened to be created by Mr. LoBaido so we know he can do more than just act. I am looking forward to the next installment by Parivision and I suggest to keep an eye on this filmmaker and also a few of the actors that are involved with the Parivision projects.

FUNNY AND SCARY AT THE SAME TIME

If you took the DNA of Irwin Allen and mixed it with Ed Wood's, you would end up with Jonathan Parisen. "Space Bug" is a superb example of Parisen's filmaking style: one that mixes the suspense and horror of Hitchcock with the humor of Mel Brooks. "Space Bug" takes you back to the days when films were meant to entertain you in more ways than one. Parisen is one of the few up-and-coming young filmakers today who have a true love and appreciation of this classic style of cinema.

How Great!

A great movie in one of my favourite genres, Parisen really captures the Ed Wood feel. I was pleased to see Conrad Brooks although the whole cast made the feel of the movie classic. In particular, I thought the space bug costume was great for the movie and some of the scenes were particular inventive. I can't wait to see more!
