Sex & Nudity

  • Bruce Banner's buttocks are briefly seen.

Violence & Gore

  • Several scenes are shown with animals being medically experimented on.
  • A coworker is accidentally shocked in an experiment. A man then steps in to shield him from unleashed gamma rays and takes the full brunt of them himself (but turns out not to have been harmed).
  • The Hulk fights mutated dogs, and they explode in green sprays when he destroys them.
  • A man is caught in an explosion and presumably killed, it shown in a very cartoonish manner.
  • Hulk fights a mutated human who can absorb energy, however they are attacked with a large bomb and the fighting stops.
  • A frog begins to rapidly swell during an experiment. It explodes with a brief blood spurt. Kind of gory and likely to upset younger/more sensitive viewers
  • Level of violence:6/10.
  • The Hulk fights the military, tossing tanks and soldiers aside, and he is shot at with small and heavy arms fire. Several of these scenes are prolonged and intense.
  • A man tortures another man with an electrifying device, and then punches him.
  • A man kills another man with a laser gun.
  • Lots of comic-book type violence and destruction.
  • Many other fighting scenes with the hulk.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In a conversation between Bruce and Betty, Bruce takes a few sips of a beer bottle.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The ending can be intense, as the fighting is dramatic.
  • A few jump scares.
  • The opening credits of a starfish being amputated and growing back may be disturbing to some audience, particularly children.
  • Animal experimentation is extensively shown.
  • Due to the arthouse feel and mostly humorless tone, it is considered to be one of the most bleak Marvel films.
  • The gamma dogs fight and claw the Hulk.
  • The primary villain of the movie can be very scary when he uses his powers, especially when he transforms into an electric monster.
  • The many fight sequences throughout are intense.

Sex & Nudity

  • Bruce Banner becomes transformation shirt ripped off and green skin body chest and abdomen like big green Hulk. (Hulk green skin body CGI)

Violence & Gore

  • Bruce and his father have a fight throughout the climax.
  • David chews off a wire and bites through. Ross tells one of his men to press a button that causes the wire to electrocute him and David becomes stronger and bigger through absorbing electricity.
  • Talbot shocks Bruce his her stomach electrocuted taser then punches her face.
  • David Banner attempts to kill Bruce (his own son) but accidentally kills his wife with a kitchen knife instead. She struggles to walk out and falls down as the gamma explosion happens.
