Sex & Nudity

  • There are romantic references but nothing more than crushes between characters.
  • Several of the children fuse with their Digimon to become one individual - the kids are shown to be naked in the scenes, but nothing private is shown.

Violence & Gore

  • The series consists of numerous battles between Digimon. No blood in shed, and most fights involve physical blows and various types of energy attacks. The characters often get wounded as result. Numerous Digimon are "killed", exploding into red pixels which are sometimes absorbed by the main characters to grow stronger.
  • Takato has a symbiotic bond to Guilmon and often feels his wounds in battles.
  • Gargomon has machine guns for hands, as does his evolutions Rapidmon and MegaGargomon, who are almost complete war machines.
  • Leomon fights with a sword.
  • When IceDevimon is killed, his head is shoved into solid ice and his arm is seen flying off and disintegrating.
  • Beelzemon kills numerous Digimon mercilessly, including regular character Leomon.
  • Cyberdramon is a good Digimon, but quite violent and hungers for battle.
  • Leomon is stabbed through the chest and killed by Beelzemon, and is seen disintegrating onscreen.
  • The D-Reaper and its minions appear as monstrous creatures and attack Tokyo for the last portion of the series.
  • Beelzemon, who later turns good, uses guns and a living motorcycle to fight.
  • Jeri spends several episodes trapped within the D-Reaper, trapped by tentacle-like appendages.
