  Eddie : [Eddie wipes Trus tears with his coat ad gives her a hug]  I love you Tru.

  Tru : Maybe there's just not enough wind.

  Eddie : No, Tru. It's not the wind fault the kite's stupid. Stupid kite. It must be retarded.

  [starts crying and sobbing and saying Tru's name] 

• Tru : You know, you never had to be Dee Dee. All you had to do was talk to me.

  Ginny : You know it wasn't that long ago, you used to tell me everything, more than I wanted hear.

  Tru : Just because I don't tell you everything in my life doesn't mean I don't love you.

  Ginny : I never thought you did not love me. I just missed you.

  Tru : When I was making my movie, watching it over and over again, it really hit me. Eddie and I were not actually the same. We played monkey man and went out for soccer together. I mean, we goofed around.

  Ginny : You goofed around just fine.

  Tru : [Starting to cry]  Only now, I'll go off to college and probably get married, have children. And Eddie is always going to be Eddie.

  [they start hugging and crying in each others arms] 

• Eddie : Wow! Look at that!

  Tru : Eew! It's a gross, disgusting spider web.

  Eddie : No. It's perfect and beautiful and strong.

• Tru : If athletes get athlete's foot, what do astronauts get?

  Eddie : I don't know.

  Tru : Missile-toe.

• Eddie : Tru, are you mad at me?

  Tru : No. Of course not. Why?

  Eddie : You never play with me anymore.

  Tru : Sorry, Eddie. I was so busy working on my tape.

  Eddie : It makes me sad.

  Tru : How come?

  Eddie : Because you used to be my twin, only now you're not.

• Tru : [to Billy]  Excuse me, is this yours?

  Billy Meyer : Uh, no. I told him he could keep it. Isn't this "Be Kind to Retards" week? And besides why would we want that back after all three of us took turns spitting in it.

  Tru : And then you gave it to him to put on his head? What is wrong with you?

  Billy Meyer : What's wrong with me? What's the matter with you, freak? I'm starting to think you're a bigger mental case than he is.

  [Tru pushes Billy off the bridge and he falls into the river] 

  Tru : [to Eddie]  Let's go.
