This was a series about wild animals in the "New Wilderness." The entire premise was how wild animals (such as coyotes) are adapting to how humans have changed their environment -- some amazingly successfully. If I remember the show correctly (it's been a FEW years!) it featured a different species each show. I remember being impressed with the cinematography, but the narration by Greene was a little staid. But then again, the "man of big action, few words" was his usual on screen persona. The whole show did seem to minimize the fact that humans have drastically changed the environment by only highlighting the success stories of animals who've managed to adapt -- never mentioning the species that couldn't. Overall, a better-than-average wildlife show for its time, but it would most likely not even get on the air today as its subdued format could not compete with the adrenaline-driven wildlife shows such as those on Animal Planet. Of course, those shows RARELY focus on the success stories and usually only highlight the species facing extinction.
