The Kaltenthal nuns have a plan: They want to expand the farm shop with a small monastery café of their own. But the building authority thwarted them. Sister Hanna decides to ask Mayor Wöller. Sister Hildegard suffers from the writing ban imposed by her auxiliary bishop Landkammer. But Mother Superior Theodora has an idea: Hildegard is no longer allowed to write crime novels, but there was no talk of romance novels. Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer has proposed Superior Theodora to the Vatican as the future head of the religious congregation. The highest place a woman can occupy in the Church. In keeping with this, novice Sina has started a podcast series that focuses on "strong women in the church" and invites the Mother Superior directly for an interview. Meanwhile, Sister Agnes developed the plan to be more environmentally conscious and, with the help of Kevin Meier, began to ban plastic from the monastery. Anne Steiner and her friend Bastian Mitterhammer want to get married in the monastery. But a sudden lottery win makes Bastian go nuts. Without further ado, he quits the family business and wants to lead a full life in the future. Anne does not recognize her future husband and cancels the wedding, deeply hurt. Sister Hanna manages to recapture Bastian and learns that his sudden change of heart has much deeper causes: Anne's groom longs for independence and never really wanted to follow in her father's professional footsteps. He finally wants to lead a life according to his ideas and not those of others. In the meantime, there are mayoral elections in Kaltenthal and Wolfgang Wöller has his hands full to keep his party on track. To his surprise, internal resistance and doubts about Wöller's campaign strategy are spreading. At a garden party, Mayor Wöller meets Prince Bertram, who is willing to adopt a son for a certain amount of money. Who would be better suited than Wöller himself, especially since a title of nobility would certainly be very well received by the voters. Too bad that the prince doesn't want to deal with a "provincial politician". With the help of the nuns, of all things, the prince finally shows himself ready to talk. On one condition: Wöller must be firmly in a relationship .

Sister Agnes stirs up the monastery with her new environmental awareness and confronts the sisters with one or the other challenge with homemade home remedies. Sister Hildegard, however, still lacks the right words for her romance novel and the first draft ends up in the wastebasket. There, of all people, the curious Stolpe discovers the crumpled paper and understands the text as a declaration of love to him. From now on he is completely absorbed in acting the hero from her novel in front of Hildegard. Sister Hanna's interview in Sina's podcast threatens to cause trouble, because Superior Theodora fears that Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer will be anything but enthusiastic about the expressions of the opinionated Hanna - especially because he will soon be officially appointed bishop. But Hanna and the superior stand by their statements about the rights of women in the church. 15-year-old Lukas turns to sister Hanna because he is worried about his classmate Joy. The cancer-stricken girl is slowly losing her hair due to chemotherapy and no longer dares to play the leading role in a school musical. Sister Hanna tries to change Joy's mind and learns that she is called a freak by her classmates and that the conceited director of the play has already replaced her. But then Lukas, the main actor in the play, makes a gesture of solidarity - Mayor Wöller is preparing meticulously for his upcoming task as the adopted son of Bertram Fürst von Mühlenbach-Holz. As is so often the case, he wants to get the financial injection for his project from his friend Hermann Huber and, in return, pair him up with Isolde Manz, his ex. For his princely plan, Wöller also needs the help of Sister Hanna, who is shocked to discover at the prince's castle that she should play his wife. Shortly afterwards, Prince Bertram is arrested and disappears behind Swedish curtains along with Wöller's title of nobility. And that's not all - the mayor learns that his speaker Alex Rauscher is said to have accepted his party's secret offer to run as a candidate against Wöller.

A fire in the Vatican severely damaged a favorite painting of the Pope, among other things. Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer, who has just learned that there is obviously competition for his hoped-for position as bishop, sees this as a unique opportunity: He promises to cover the costs of the restoration. But the money has to come from somewhere: Could Kaltenthal Monastery still be sold?
The novice Sina is in danger: one of the murderers, against whom she testified during a trial, is again at large. In the motherhouse, however, Stolpe is still tirelessly trying to win Sister Hildegard's heart, but the success is rather moderate. Meanwhile, the superior is faced with the big decision as to whether she wants to audition to lead the religious congregation in Rome. Sister Felicitas visits Ms. Krautstingl regularly - also to satisfy her new passion for TV shopping, because the elderly lady uses her mobile phone to offer her to order things for the monastery.

But since Julia's friend Sam Rossmann, a pilot at an airline, suddenly left the airline without saying goodbye, Julia has been a total failure and Marlene is alone with the business and overwhelmed. Sister Hanna finds Sam and learns that he failed the last pilot check-up. From now on he is no longer allowed to fly large machines, his lifelong dream is over. Sam wants to spare Julia the shame of having to face nothing with a loser and has therefore disappeared from the scene. Sister Hanna wants to convince him that flying small planes can also be a challenge - a new beginning with the chance for his relationship with Julia.
Full of vigor, Wolfgang Wöller throws himself into the preparations for the celebration of his 20th anniversary as mayor. The distraction doesn't help him get over the pain caused by Alex Rauscher's alleged betrayal. While Wöller stubbornly plans his party, his party in the "Ochsen" is already determining a new top candidate - the well-known TV shopping presenter Sascha Salm. Humiliated, Wöller wants to quit his post on the spot and give up the election campaign. Shortly before Wöller settles in the Caribbean, Alex can stop him with the news of a possible lithium deposit in Kaltenthal, which Chinese investors are making a prerequisite for building a battery plant. Quite a politician, it doesn't bother Wöller that the lithium should lie under the monastery forest of the nuns ...

Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer questions the economic viability of the monastery in a conversation with the mother superior and wants to sell the monastery. Real estate agent Jenny Winter is supposed to manage the sale with the utmost discretion. Emma Graf, a young actress, is eager to prepare for a new role as a nun in the monastery and asks Sister Hanna for an internship. Sister Lela does not miss the opportunity and pulls the new roommate in front of the microphone for the monastery podcast.
In the mother house, however, there is a difficult farewell: Novice Sina has to travel to Brazil in order to be safe from the released murderer in the order's mission. And Hildegard has now of course moved her novel to Venice for romantic reasons. No problem for Stolpe, who now picks her up to eat ice cream on a scooter in La Dolce Vita style. Wöller plans to run for mayor with his own "List Wöller". Hermann Huber is supposed to finance his election campaign. To do this, he is to build the infrastructure for the planned battery factory. But before Wöller goes public with his plan, a borehole in the monastery forest has to confirm the lithium discovery. Wöller and Alex Rauscher find a pretext under which Huber can examine the forest floor without the nuns immediately sensing the danger for their monastery. Without further ado, Alex submits a falsified report, according to which the groundwater could have sunk. On the election campaign front, however, Wöller grudgingly had to admit that his new competitor Sascha Salm was far better received by the press and the public.
The carer Omar Touré is threatened with losing his training position and deportation to his home country because of the alleged sexual harassment of his colleague Elvira. Helene Münster, whose son Kai has been struggling with depression since his paraplegia and is being looked after by Omar, fears that Kai could fall into a deep hole again without Omar. Hanna finds out that Omar only danced with her colleague at a company party, which her friend, who is not particularly well-disposed towards people with a migration background, misunderstood. Omar wants to give up without a fight and go back to his home country. With the help of Sergeant Meier and Mayor Wöller, who has recently been surprisingly willing to cooperate, Hanna tries to bring everyone involved to their senses.

Novitiate trainee Emma is happy to get to know monastic life and is looking for her place in the community of religious sisters. Agnes is still passionate about saving the environment and ridding it of plastic. The tension in the motherhouse is great, as Superior Theodora in Rome does indeed have very good prospects of leading the religious congregation, while Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer would like to get the bishop's post. In order to advance his plan, he generously sends the diocese money to Rome for the restoration of the damage caused by the fire. Stolpe continues to fight for Hildegard on the love front. After overhearing a conversation between sister Hanna and Hildegard, he is sure that he will soon be in the arms of his lover. Wöller's drilling in the monastery forest in search of lithium has now almost been completed. Now all he has to do is buy the monastery through Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer, and the battery factory can be built out of the ground. But Landkammer does not think about including Wöller again in the sale and lets him down. When he learns that the auxiliary bishop has entrusted Jenny Winter with the sale of the monastery, Wöller and his sister Hanna want to avert the disaster. Sister Agnes has been providing Tom Ehrlich with home-made jam as well as fruit and vegetables for his shop for a long time, but at the moment the young man is not really working. Cordula has just broken up and is in the middle of an election campaign. She has great doubts that a relationship with a younger man can really work in the long run. In addition, she could jeopardize her re-election. A party colleague who saw the kiss puts Cordula under additional pressure. And Wöller, of all people, observes Tom kissing his former love Sandy, and immediately reports this to his colleague Cordula.

However, the "drug detection dog in witness protection" immediately discovers Emma's small cannabis supply and Meier has no choice but to report it. Sister Lela jumps into the breach and admitted - although she is forbidden as a nun to lie - that half of the cannabis belongs to her. The drug discovery, Sister Felicitas, who adores the TV shopping star Sascha Salm at an election campaign event, and Sister Hanna's controversial podcast contribution bring the barrel to overflow for Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer. He wants to crack down on the Kaltenthal monastery. To the relief of everyone, the Mother Superior, who actually wanted to accept the new post in Rome, decides to take matters into her own hands and remain head of the order. The psychologist Dr. Bettina Wohlschlegel is worried about a young patient: Little Lea's parents died in a skiing accident some time ago and left the girl deeply traumatized. She only found consolation in her therapy horse Toni. But now the sanctuary where Toni lives is to be sold. The farm animals would have to be given away or even killed, and Lea, who has just regained her courage to face life, would suffer the next dramatic loss. When trying to stop the sale, Hanna finds out that Wöller and brewery owner Herbert Wanninger have a hand in it. Sister Hanna can negotiate a deal. Mayor Wöller has to find out who Jenny Winter wants to refer the monastery to and expresses interest in buying it himself. Since Mrs. Winter has an agreement with Auxiliary Bishop Landkammer not to sell the monastery to Wöller, she charmingly ignores him. Wöller's plan to separate Huber, who is suffering from Isolde's bland diet, from her again with "real food" backfires and so he has to play for time at Wanninger in order not to lose his campaign donation.
