Tuesday episodes seem to have generated something of a theme, which is to say random is the order of the day as Laremy and I steamroll through about 10 minutes of nonsense before getting started and then it's a couple minutes of college football talk before we get into George Lucas saying Hollywood studios lack imagination and we ponder comparisons between the recent news surrounding Ebola with Steven Soderbergh's Contagion. We talk Jason Reitman, Netflix streaming, R vs. PG-13. new DVDs and Blu-rays and plenty more. If you are on Twitter, we have a Twitter account dedicated to the podcast at @bnlpod. Give us a follow won'tchac I want to remind you that you can call in and leave us your comments, thoughts, questions, etc. directly on our Google Voice account, which you can call and leave a message for us at (925) 526-5763, which may be even easier to remember at (925) 5-bnl-pod.

In the past few months, Rihanna has recorded two songs with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown (with whom she has a troubled past), candidly tweeted about about her predilection for smoking weed and started a nasty online feud with Brown's new girlfriend.
Rihanna has come a long way since she first exploded on the scene in 2005, but lately it seems she's been making more headlines for what she says and does outside the recording studio than for her music. Is she falling into a Lindsay Lohan-like spiral, or is this all just a calculated effort by the "machine" to keep her relevant in a market that is constantly looking for the next best (or baddest) thing?
If her latest stunt is any example of what's to come, it seems Rihanna will do almost anything to keep the blogosphere buzzing. The singer recently stepped out without a bra, while wearing a see-through top in New York City,...

The upcoming makeover of Disney's high street Disney Stores at the hand of Steve Jobs has the news feeds buzzing. Disney's going high tech?
As the The New York Times notes, the stores are getting a "floor to ceiling reboot" with the intention of getting people keen to walk into them, and lingering longer while in there. It's all with the hope of pushing revenues up. Sounds a bit like an Apple Store, with tempting entrances, bright light, sleek design, rows of shiny gadgets on display and lots of hands-on? No surprise, then, that Steve Jobs was asked to help during the development of the reboot, and though he didn't have direct control, he pushed for Disney to "dream bigger." Jobs provided access to internal Apple documents on how its crazily-successful Apple Stores operate, made Disney build a fully-stocked prototype store to test out its ideas, and added "Pixar-esque winks and nods.
