This unique Austrian film is one of the kind you cannot describe in a few words, although it runs only 60 minutes. And that alone makes me like it. Richtung Zukunft durch die Nacht is a fantastic(al) movie which completely disregards classical storytelling, thus telling a story but at the same time ignoring that there is a story to be told. Every scene is hilariously playful: the dialogues are ironic but the pictures create a special romantic mood. After 30 minutes, the movie appears to be over but then it begins to run backwards, at least partly. What? you ask. Well, exactly, it makes no sense to describe the film. You have to go and watch it. Almost certainly, you will be confused. It depends on you to like that or not.

It is also up to you to interpret the movie and read statements on how relative love is, or something like that. This is possible, and nice, but it is not necessary. The movie works as a pure lovely joke as well.
