Some peasant girls in their colorful native costumes drive the cattle home, then return. They link hands and dance their peasant dance - I am almost tempted to note they do so peasantishly - in the middle of Paris.
It's a scene shot at the Universal Exposition in Paris, the World's Fair, and this was Switzerland's entry. It's quite charming until you notice that not only are the girls staged and carefully directed for the purpose of this movie, but so are the random onlookers. Notice the boulevardier who tips his boater hat to the camera, just before the shot changes? Did you notice he is still there after the cameraman had put fresh film in the camera?
