A young Mexican/American woman coming to terms with her heritage
publicity-538-29309220 February 2012
This film is about a young Mexican/American woman coming to terms with her heritage. Carrie Barton plays the lead role, Mia, with such truth and simplicity. She is an actress who is quite interesting to watch, not to mention very attractive. Barton also narrates the film. Her voice is velvety and captivating; she is the whole package and carries the film like a seasoned veteran. The mother, played by Seidy Lopez, is also nice to watch and even though she never speaks, her performance is solid and tells her story with emotion and grace. The rest of the supporting cast does a nice job from the girlfriends on girl's night out to the fast food manager to the young version of Mia herself. The film was beautifully shot and the score was outstanding. Cheryl Quintana Leader directed the film with a clear and powerful vision. Tanto Tiempo is a little gem of a short film that tells an important story intelligently as well as artistically.
