A legal notice has been sent to Vinod and his production house Soundarya Films by Krishna Devi, wife of the alleged Up gangster Mahinder Singh Fauji to stop the film as it is reportedly based on Fauji's life. Mahinder Singh Fauji was reportedly a Up gangster, who was killed in a gang war in Ghaziabad 15 years ago.
