Captivating, enchanting, seldom seen rural China set to beautiful music.
Forgiving the somewhat lower resolution, this film blends imagery from rural China to music from various Windham Hill musicians. The cadence of the film is somewhat slowed, both to match the music and to emphasize the incredible natural elements of China and of its people as they undertake various laborious tasks to produce the simplest of products and materials. Enchanting, melodious, rewarding look at a seldom seen world as the cinematographer takes you from a crowded city jammed with bicyclists and blurred by smog, to the pristine countryside for a charming look at some of the most majestic geographical elements in the world. You will want to visit this magical and well preserved countryside. There are no actors, there is no dialog. Just a very real sense of being there.
