The hall that serves as the shooting location of "Rangin Bar" in this movie has also been used as the setting of many popular movie songs from
films of that time including "Main Duniya Bhula Doonga" from "Aashiqui" and "Tu Pyaar Hai Kisi Aur Ka" from "Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin".
Gulshan Grover mysteriously disappears from the film. This was due to Gulshan feeling he was getting lost in a sea of villains in the film. One day Gulshan quietly packed up his stuff and left the sets without telling anyone. Gulshan had decided he wanted to leave the film as he was not happy with role. The producer warned Gulshan to return to the movie or face dire consequences. Finally Romu Sippy decided it was best to let Gulshan leave the film. Reshooting Gulshan's scenes with another actor would have lead to heavy costs. So they decided to just continue on with the film and forget Gulshan's character from the script all together.
Sonu Walia was angry with how her role turned out. She was told her role would have alot of scenes, but that did not happen.
Raj N Sippy bought the remake rights of a Tamil film and decided to make Mahaadev.For the music Raj Sippy simply took the original songs and dubbed them over with Hindi singers. This was done as a cost cutting/money saving move. Rather than hire a music director from Bombay. But Vinod Khanna heard the music and hated it. So much that he threw the tapes of out the studio window and refused to dub until the fixed the film' s music. In the end it was Raj Sippy's view that Vinod Khanna had to follow.
