Not recommended for outside the former USSR

Why not? Because the documentary is actually about Soviet era movie-stars and great Soviet actresses, who, since Soviet Union was totally closed for foreigners, are absolutely unknown abroad. The film is about how they're struggling now and how famous and adored they were when they were younger. They just sit and talk about their lives, love affairs, likes and dislikes. The film is filled with bitter irony. They didn't know about anothers being filmed, too, so sometimes they give way to their sarcasm towards each other. Renata Litvinova, in my opinion, wanted to say something like "sic transit gloria mundi". I liked the idea, but didn't like the way Litvinova shot it.

Anyway, if you're familiar with these actresses, watch it.

My rating is 7/10. Not higher because of some cynicism by Litvinova.
