An entertaining and clever parody
amir_e_a26 August 2005
This movie is a parody of different styles of crime movies. If you are a serious cinema lover - give it a few minutes of your time and you're gonna love it. Don't mind the fact that it's in Russian, because there's not much talk - the pictures speak for themselves.

Part 1 is American: everyone kills everyone, crashed cars everywhere, etc. Then there are fancy-dressed ladies who watch a male stripper! Quite amazing that Soviet censorship allowed such a movie to be released and shown to children (even if it criticizes America...).

Part 2 is French, which is also my favorite. It is black-and-white, the background music is very characteristics of film-noir, and the characters are modeled after French actors: Louis de Funes, Alain Delon, Jean Gabin and Brigitte Bardot.

Part 3 is Italian. It is a hilarious parody of Italian movies about poor neighborhoods.

Part 4 is Russian, or to be more precise - Soviet. The main character is modeled after a famous Russian-Jewish comedy actor Saveli Kramarov and the plot is short and funny.

Great entertaining cartoon
drunkrusski7 January 2005
I saw this when I was a little kid, and later when I was an adult. I found it equally amusing both times. This is great for both the young and the old. Some of the humor is subtle, and some is much more blunt. The basic premise of the cartoon is that it shows several different bank heists done in different countries. If I remember correctly, it's France, Russia, and America, although there could have been more countries that I can't remember of. The French are very subtle, while the Americans come in guns blasting. Some, if not all the characters, are famous actors from the country. If you ever are able to get your hands on this Russian classic, I recommend watching it.

The Great parody for American, French, Italian and Russian movies of 60's and
katz11242 March 2005
Ograblenie po…. is one of the best examples of the talent of Soviet cartoonists in late Soviet era (70's, 80,s). The cartoon is full of parody for American, French, Italian and Russian movies of 60's and 70's. The plot is similar for all of them – It is a bank robbery and it is done in a movie fashion of each country cartoon is making spoof on . You will be able to recognize the actors which were popular in each of the countries during that time. The cartoon is really funny, when I watched as kid, it still make me smile as an adult 20 years later. The cartoon went through some controversy with a soviet censors when it came out. They even had to cut some of the footage which they thought was not suitable for a Soviet audience. If you get a hand for a full version of the movie you will have a great time, however the cut version is good too.

Robberies around the world

Warning: Spoilers
"Ograblenie po..." is a 20-minute Soviet animated short film from almost 40 years ago. Oh well, I could maybe even say it is 4 animated short films as this one here can be cleanly divided into 4 segments. It is all about how robberies take place in different countries. It starts with the United States, then moves on to France. Next up is Italy and finally Russia. I think the Italian part was the funniest and the Russian the least funny, which is a shame as this is where the film comes from. Nonetheless, it was still a pretty decent watch from start to finish and I also liked all the entertaining references on movies from these countries and on characters looking like certain actors. One of the better Soviet animated movies and this one proves that they can also deliver when there are no talking animals in a movie. Thumbs up for "Robbery". I recommend it.
