Bondiana from the Ukrainian village

There was kinda humorous and naive old city-legend in Ukraine, that Cossack's Hetman (head of military) Pavlo Polubotok sent all the cossacks gold to Great Britain to prevent it be taken by russians. One part of the people believed that the ship sank and it's nothing left to do to return it. Another believed that it was hold on the bank account in the United Kingdom for centuries. In the second case, profits would be so huge, Ukraine will become so rich that it will give a great amount of this money for the common folks.

This movie took this well-known in Ukraine narrative, and propose its own variant of a story continuation. Hetman was an ancestor of the main character, whose faith from now is to return the treasure to the homeland. It wouldn't be so easy, though, due to the fact that KGB, MI5 and Ukrainian mobsters are also highly interested in those money. That's where the comedy begins, because our hero is a simple Ukrainian villager who is not used to all this Bondiana stuff.

The correct title of this movie, by the way, is "Vpered, za skarbamy Hetmana!" in Ukrainian. The current one "Vperyod, za sokrovishchami getmana!" represents russian transliteration. I've sent four tickets on that topic to the contributors team, but they declined all of them. Will be grateful for your support.
