Anita Page was sought for the role of Gloria, but contract agreements fell through and the role went to Linda Watkins.
About 60 locals from St. Petersburg and the surrounding area were recruited to be extras in the film.
The St. Petersburg Times erroneously reported that Claire Windsor had been cast in the leading role. According to the paper, she was to arrive on the morning of June 27, 1933.
Filming finished one day behind schedule.
This was Linda Watkins's first film after her marriage to Gabiel Hess, a lawyer for the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (MPPDA), in January of 1932.
