Benigni teaches us Dante in the most beautiful way.

The first part, he locks into jaw breaking jokes about politics, Berlusconi in particular. I too laughed, although I am a Berlusconi supporter.

Then he shows us he deeply understood the meaning of Dante's Paradiso. It really was amazing just to hear him explain it in the most loving way, almost making the literal masterpiece his own. Beautiful television moment, I was happy to have witnessed it. It should have been worldwide.

How lovely to hear such chants recited by the mot talented man on earth. It made me idolise him and respect him even more. Brilliant. No more to declare.

I watched part of this on the Italian tv station in Canada. My Italian isn't perfect but I definitely enjoyed Benigni's brilliant recital (from memory) of Dante. This is a one man show that's worth checking out.
