Brave pioneer in exploring something rare in China
zzmale24 February 2004
Well, actually, the existence of mental patients are not rare in China, and in fact, the numbers are rapidly increasing in the rapid Chinese economic boom, due to the high pressure of the highly competitive capitalistic world and the lack of social services in China.

What is truly rare in China is that this topic is something neither the public nor the government would like to mention. For the government, economic development is the top priority and social services is ignored, and for the general public, traditional culture prohibits most from facing such problem.

This movie is a brave pioneer in exposing the problem that is often avoided in China and points out the urgent need to establish the appropriate social services in China.
