This is the best live-action film of Rapunzel, in my opinion. And it has a combination of Maid Maleen, which takes place after Rapunzel escapes from the tower (she escapes after the Prince becomes blind and Rapunzel is left in the tower all by herself). Interesting, the actress (Sylvia Wolff) who plays Rapunzel, looks strikingly like Shelley Duvall, who portrayed as Rapunzel in her own episode of the fairytale (she's the one who co-worked in all the Faerie Tale Theatre episodes). I give a 10 out of 10 and a must-watch. And guess what! I don't even understand it, since it's German. I've seen a lot of foreign fairytale adaptations, actually. I don't think any other can compare to this masterpiece; it'd have to be done realistically
