Mundane...yet clever
This is a fake documentary about squatting--specifically how the "Asian Squat" is becoming more and more popular throughout the world. The history of the squat, why it is so popular, why the Asian squat is better than the Western squat and an analysis of this squat are all talked about in this odd film. The style of the film is very 1950s--with a narrator who is reminiscent of educational films, a nice black & white look and scratchy lines and the sound of a film projector.
Overall, while the topic is SUPER-mundane, because of its nice style and sense of humor, the film manages to be entertaining and clever. It's a nice little showcase for Daniel Shia--a young and up and coming film maker.
