The fire is the spectacular scene in this film
deickemeyer9 March 2016
Here is an exciting drama, with a fire and a rescue from a window, a fall from a broken ladder, with one man left clinging to the upper portion. A count interferes between a young countryman and his sweetheart. She and her people, flushed with pride at her being loved by a nobleman, give their consent. Before matters have proceeded far the count's wife appears. As a result, there is a fight between the count and the young man and the house is set on fire. The fire is the spectacular scene in this film and as may be imagined, is somewhat exciting. The rescue scene is realistic enough to satisfy the most ardent apostle of realism. - The Moving Picture World, July 22, 1911
