Interesting but not essential viewing

Interesting documentary about a French filmmaker looking for Laurie Zimmer. Some nice shots of Los Angeles in the seventies and early noughties.

I do remember! And will for ever. So Long Laurie!

The most fascinating documentary ever. Full of nostalgia and even suspense. That excellent actress we all remember well from John Carpenter's film (Assault...) has disappeared without warning around the end of the seventies.

The film maker Charlotte Szlovak has determined to find out what has become of her. Or is it her own past she is trying to revisit through this personal quest? We share her wanderings and interrogations with the same excitement and impatience than her. Her vision of Los Angeles as some kind of city full of remembrance and ghosts is totally thrilling.

A truly sensitive film I especially recommend to those who think that documentary are necessarily dull or at least educational. I can't tell how much I love this film. Watch for it! You won't regret it.
