Everyone around her is wearing dark colors while she is wearing a bright blue dress. Shyamalan used this technique so the audience would notice Ivy. He also used this in Unbreakable when David was first using his power. Everyone that was passing by him was wearing dark colors and everyone that brushed him was wearing bright colors.
