The producers of the game claim that despite the extreme amount of violence that Postal 2 contains, it can actually be cleared without firing a single shot. Therefore, it was given the tag line "The game that is only as violent as you want to be".
Banned in New Zealand and Germany as it's deemed too violent for release.
Due to the threatened legal action from the Post Office over the first game, the post office in this game is called the "Parcel Service".
Despite being panned by critics when it was originally released, the game was universally well-received by gamers, and is considered to be one of the best PC games of all time.
According to the developers, the Postal Dude in this game and the protagonist of the first Postal game are two completely separate characters.
