An ordinary film

Warning: Spoilers
Exclusively saw this film to see Sunil Dutt's brother Som Dutt, who was introduced as a hero by Sunil Dutt, along with Leena Chandavarker and Vinod Khanna, all of whom made a debut in Bollywood with this film, which could not make a lasting impact, although the story did provide a scope for the same. There are many successful bollywood movies with similar storyline, but they succeeded because of good songs and music. In this film, one could not see music director Ravi's magic, excepting for one duet. This film proved to be a launching pad for Vinod Khanna and Leena Chandavarkar, but not for Som Dutt. This film was shot in beautiful locations, but that could not help for its success. Om Prakash, as usual was the star performer. Leena Chandavarkar too made good impression, but for some reason director like A. Subba Rao, who had made a very successful film 'Milan' just a year ago in 1967, was not able to extract any performance out of Som Dutt. He could have been made look more handsome, if there was more attention paid to his clothes and looks. This movie is worth seeing only as a tribute to Sunil Dutt.
