Sinful Deeds better than Mr. Deeds
Sack-310 August 2003
What's it with the softporn genre's lack of title creativity? Sinful Deeds, Sinful Passion, Carnal Passion, Carnal Lust, Intimate Lust... Who could keep them straight? Obviously, the primary goal is not to become a classic, but with names this generic I can't even remember which ones I've seen.

Well, I've seen Sinful Deeds, but it appears not many others have. The story is very original -- NOT. Dancers at a strip club are being killed one by one. Who'll be next? Who could the killer be? Oh, there will be no spoilers here. Except to say that the story is not the worst I've seen. The movies big problem: there are about three too many sex scenes with the lead actress. She's the best looking woman in the movie -- not saying much -- and her scenes are good, but there are 10 very similar scenes. You know there's something odd when you are fast-forwarding through the sex scenes of a softporn movie.

Horrific editing and a weak cast ruin what could have been a great B-Thriller.
highroller488 February 2005
One listen to the chopped-up music background and you can tell this was edited post-production. Note to budding filmmakers: Don't add your incidental music till you finish cutting footage out. Duh. The only moderately capable cast member in this is Syren herself, with all others being Porn B-Listers who have less screen presence than those guys who do their own Used Car Lot ads. They aren't all that attractive, either, with at least two of them being clearly past their prime.

The storyline is stilted and disjointed, but a few touch-ups could have done wonders for the plot. We never get any real insights into why or how it should be Julie's (Syren) job to investigate her disappearing friends.

The love scenes vary from well-conceived but poorly-shot to hopelessly cliché and poorly-shot. It's clear several of the scenes were also being filmed for hardcore, because of the awkward and sloppy cutaways in this soft-serve version. There are some steamy moments, but they are all so desperately rushed that you'll need the pause button just to figure out who the heck's on top.

In the end, it's hard to get interested in a Heroine who ends every heated argument with her hated boyfriend by deciding to have sex, never really gets what her character is supposed to be about, and spends fully a quarter of her non-nude screen time driving in and out of the parking lot of her club a dozen times.

By the time Julie is finally swept away by our Hero, you'll find yourself surprised he doesn't reconsider and let the bad guy bump her off after all.

Not worth the effort

Warning: Spoilers
65 minute film that I was guessing was a cut down version of a porno film concerning murder and blackmail. What I read on IMDb seems to lead me to believe that I'm wrong in that assumption, and instead this is softcore film with actors who appear to have worked in the adult film industry. Honestly this is a really bad movie that pales in comparison to many adult films and is so disjointed at times that it really makes no sense. Clearly done on the cheap, they didn't even spend money on things they really need to tell the story, I mean one woman who is shot point blank doesn't even have a spot of blood on her. Its painfully acted and badly put together, even the sex scenes which seem to be the reason that the film exists. The film is so not worth seeing its not even worth seeing for the naked actors.

Nice plot ruined by bad acting and bad editing
sauravjoshi8521 November 2019
Sinful deeds is an erotic thriller directed by Dante Giove and stars Syren, Brad Bartram, John Crown and Frank Harper.

The movie has an interesting plot but is completely ruined by bad editing and acting. The movie also doesn't run in a sync and has loopholes.

Boring movie

Warning: Spoilers
A stripper (Syren) trys to figure out who's killing her co-workers in an extremely original.. oh wait no it's not. In this erotic..wait no no no not that either. In this passable soft-core? Wrong again, bucko. Is it her boss? her jealous boyfriend, the regular patron??? Here I'll save you the time. It's the boss. OK, now you don't have to waist your time, don't forget to thank me later. this "movie" is pure crap and Syren is in WAY too many of the sex scenes.

The Goods: 10 Sex Scenes (m/f, F/F, striptease, solo)

Babe of the movie:: Well Adajja was the least haggled looking, she wins by default

My Grade: F

Where i saw it: Showtime on demand

give dis movie a chance
Li_857 July 2008
I don't know why people are hating this movie. Its a low grade movie so its not suppose to be a masterpiece. Its a soft core movie with a little bit of a storyline added in. The movie is watchable because of the sexual intercourse scenes. The actress whats her name Syren did a decent job in performing in both sex and normal scenes. Syren is a sex bomb with a fine ass and body that any man will do. I like this film because of syren and some of the other sex scenes. I'm not a pervert, its just this movie was fun too see because the makers did their best. To be fair, i have to say not bad for amateurs or not bad for people who are making a movie in one weekend. Watch this movie if you want to see a little bit of beautiful girls having great soft core sex.

Oh boy....this was bad, really bad. This gets a D-
Smooth B9 March 2004
Warning: Spoilers
I saw "Sinful Deeds" for the first time last night, and let's just say I was underwhelmed. The sex scenes weren't that great, the women were just okay-looking, and the story was....well, I'll get to that in a moment.

We begin with Julie Baxter (Syren), an exotic dancer at a seedy club where a couple of her co-workers, including her best friend, disappear under mysterious circumstances. She takes it upon herself to get down to the bottom of it, against the will of the club owner. Her boyfriend just wishes she'd stop dancing and think about their future together (awww!).

Eventually, as the movie progresses, we find out that a serial killer had been killing dancers at the club, and he's targeted Julie as his next victim. Will Julie survive the wrath of the killer coming for her?

Spoilers coming:

In a word, yes.

In the meantime, we get treated to various stripteases by the dancers and a few sex scenes, none of any high quality, just of the "going-through-the-motions" variety. I'm not saying Syren isn't a good looking girl--she is--she just can't act that well. Of course, I'm cutting her a little slack since she's a hardcore porn star by trade, but if she's going to recite her dialogue like she's reading lines from a cue card (and occasionally in a methodical, robotic tone), she really shouldn't be doing softcore. At least the casting directors have figured out how to cast hardcore star Angelica Sin, as this is the fourth softcore movie I've seen her in where she plays a dancer. In short, I thought this flick had very few good points, and not enough sex scenes to hold my interest. Not tapeworthy at all.

Women: B- (Like I said, Syren is very pretty. Angelica Sin doesn't look that bad either. Adajja and Isabella are cute as well. However, since there wasn't a great deal of sex, it actually lowered this grade a bit too.)

Sex: D (If this grade was for nudity alone, the grade would be much higher, but nudity by itself isn't enough for a softcore flick--there needs to be sex as well, and the sex scenes were a bit lower than average. Since most of the action took place at a strip club, I was expecting plenty of nudity, but the sex was lacking. The scenes were on the short side, too.)

Story: D- (The story plodded along in the background as we saw scene after scene of stripping. Where's the sex at? Too much of the dialogue sounded like someone was just off-camera holding up cue cards, and the actors were simply reading off them. Very few signs of emotion. "House Of Love" showed me that even softcore flicks can have some passionate displays of emotion.)

Overall: D- (If the women in this film didn't look good at all, I probably would have given this film an F, but since it's Syren and Angelica Sin giving workmanlike performances instead of a couple of unattractive women, I bumped the grade up to a D-. Not very high, but what do you expect for drivel like this? I expected better from a film produced by MRG Entertainment, usually a good source for quality softcore flicks. "Sinful Deeds" gets a D-, primarily for casting decent looking women and not doing much else.)
