A great film for music lovers...
KarenBarret30 March 2006
Geoffrey Lewis gives a powerful performance as the lead character Old Man, who has come to the end of his life with nothing but music keeping him alive. The film takes us through the daily life of the Old Man and shows us that music is all that he has left to live for. We learn that his wife has passed away and continuously visits him in his dreams, as he deals with a recent tragedy that has just changed his life forever. It tackles the issues of dealing with the sudden loss of hearing, random kindness, and random violence. It is a beautiful film that is very moving to watch and the use of Beethoven's music is a perfect fit. I would say that it is a must see film for all music lovers and that it made me appreciate music much more.
