- It is mentioned that someone accidentally mixed up the Dutch words for "power" and "virgin", and therefore said that someone was "overcome by a sudden virgin".
- One missionary accidentally says in Dutch that "my rear end has become quite beautiful". What he meant to say is unknown.
- A main character does not understand a language and asks for a circumcised loaf of bread rather than a cut loaf of bread.
- In a store, one of the main characters walks past a advertisement that shows a woman in a very revealing dress that exposes cleavage. This is very fast and was probably included accidentally.

- A character wonders out loud what his newly married ex-girlfriend is doing. Another character informs him that she is likely still asleep in bed, causing the character some distress. This is very subtle, and children will likely not understand the reference as there is no elaboration.
