Mr. Garner was man who grew-up with music.
The Film "I never said Goodbye".
It was a spiritual journey watching this old man be recognized for the music that he played and the people he play with. Most people that met him did not know his history. He was a humble man that would not tell you that he wrote music for Billy Eckstine or that he played with Billy Holiday, Diana Washington, Aretha Franklin or that he wrote the musical charts for Atlantic Records first recording sessions in New York City.
I found this information about this senior musician while sharing meals after musical engagements where we, played together. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He always showed respect for everyone he encountered. He is with us always, Mr.Linton Garner.
