I found this fascinating "Biography" episode on the Anastasia (1956) DVD
tavm29 August 2021
After watching the Ingrid Bergman-Yul Brynner version of Anastasia, I then watched the "Biography" episode on the DVD disc that explored both the actual Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov and the woman who was claimed to have survived that family massacre when she was 17-Anna Anderson. Both women get equal time. Also explored are both the Bergman version of Anastasia and a later animated version from 1997 done by Don Bluth who are among the interviewees. Also interviewed are several historical experts as well as Arthur Laurents, the screenwriter who adapted the original play for the Bergman version. So I highly recommend this "Biography" episode especially if you want to know the truth about those two women I just mentioned...
