Eamon Andrews, who went on to practically own 'This Is Your Life'. Rolf Harris - What hasn't he done? Top TV Personality, painter of instant murals, Top-ten pop-singer with his aboriginally hued 'Sun Arise' and his contrastingly Pukerific 'Two Little Boys'. Tony Hart - another incomparable sketch artist. And last but by no means least: Johnny Morris. Here playing a cameo role as a hot-chestnut vendor who tells some curious little story whilst lapsing into the voices of its characters, a prelude of what would be finally realised in his 'Animal Magic series.

Never was so much nascent talent squeezed into one little program. The rather obscurely titled 'Playbox' ran for almost a decade, but secured the lifelong careers in light entertainment of its four highly talented contributors.
