“You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious." Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Although these words were said for another city in a world far away, these words also ring true for Underhive. A Hive City ruled by anarchy, violence, betrayal and death. A city where rival gangs’ engage in constant skirmishes for control in a never ending war amongst derelict factories, rusted metal hunks and forgotten technologies. Welcome to planet Necromunda, welcome to the Underhive Wars.
Necromunda debuted in 1995 as a board game from Specialist Games, a division of Games Workshop. Necromunda was a skirmish game set on a hive world which pits gangs of humans against each other, using 2nd ed. Roughly 22 years ago, I was introduced to a game called Warhammer 40K. A game where the forces of Space Marines, Orks, Eldar and Chaos clashed in battle as a part of table top war gaming. Fast forward a couple decades, Warhammer moved the battle to the digital arena, with the war reaching to PCs and numerous console machines.
Now, the Warhammer franchise furthers its growth with an Mmo! So let’s check out the newest game for this fantasy world, Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade.
Starting out you need to create a character to use in game. I started out with Eldar, my favorite race. However, if you don’t want to go with the superior race, there are the options of Orks, Space Marines & Chaos Marines. You then have 5 factions within those races to choose from. The Tyranid are also available, but only as an Npc race. (See chart below...

I’ve never really managed to play Space Hulk games, but I do know of them. I remember seeing the Games Workshop board games and liking the art work, even considered playing some of the games but I never got round to it. On the PC and consoles though, there are easier options to take a step into the world, which is what I decided to do with Space Hulk: Ascension Edition.
Straight from the get go as a turn-based strategy game there is a difference between this and what you see on a board game, but it is made clear that the changes made are built upon the board game experience, which is good for the fans if true. For my experience, it took a while to get into the game, especially with the darkness of the world map, though there are clues as to where the enemy are going to attack from.

Warhamer: 40,000, the dystopian science fantasy setting of Games Workshop’s table-top strategy game, has a CGI direct-to-dvd movie coming out next month: Ultramarines. If you've ever wanted to know what "butch" looks like, these guys define the word.
Spanning a huge fictional universe, the Imperium of Man – a decentralised but totalitarian interstellar regime - interacts with various factions and races of aliens, including the Tau, the Eldar, the Necrons, the Tyranids and the Orks, battling against the forces of evil, the Daemons of Chaos who live in a parallel dimension, the Warp.
Mankind’s defences are formed primarily of the Imperial Guard, huge in numbers, and the genetically-enhanced, elite super-warriors, the Space Marines, also known as the Adeptus Astartes. Devotedly loyal to the Emperor and followers of the Codex Astartes (the book of doctrine for all Space Marine chapters), they are the finest and most feared of all fighting forces in the Imperium.

8.00pm Ba’al: The Storm God (Movies24+)
An archaeologist seeking the ancient amulets of the storm god Ba’al which he thinks could cure his cancer unwittingly unleashes epic otherworldly storms on the Earth.
9.00pm Thralls, aka Blood Angels (Zone Horror)
Thralls focuses on a group of 6 beautiful women (the titular Thralls), referred to as “the white trash of vampires;” effectively a lower species of vampire. They don’t kill people, they don’t have the ability to turn their victims into vampires and they can’t fly. These Thralls are under the control of Mr. Jones, the vampire who sired them, and whom they are trying desperately to escape. To do this they must complete a blood ritual which will turn them into full-blown vampires.

Today sees the UK based satellite chanel Zone Horror re-brand itself back to the Horror Channel. As part of the celebratory proceedings the channel are airing a special Vampire Week, featuring fourteen(!) vampire movies And the Horror Channel premiere of Blade: The Series starring rapper Sticky Fingaz as the titular hero.
Why am I telling you this you may ask? Well airing as part of Vampire Week are, in my opinion, four of the Best vampire movies ever made – the Subspecies quadrilogy. As well as the not-as-good-as-the-originals Subspecies spin-off Vampire Journals. For those of you who have never heard of Subspecies, the films are a direct-to-video series produced by Full Moon Studios (Puppetmaster, Demonic Toys), which were released between 1991 to 1998, and followed the exploits of vampire Radu Vladislas, portrayed by actor Anders Hove, and his efforts to turn Michelle Morgan into his fledgling.
The Subspecies series are airing in double-bills on April 7th/8th,...

Fango spoke to longtime New Zealand producer Dale Bradley, who tackled his first job in Australia with Malibu Shark Attack, a killer-fish film that lensed in Queensland under the title Goblin Shark Attack and premieres on the Sci Fi Channel (which co-produced the movie, and is soon to be known as Syfy) this summer. Bradley passed on a couple of production pics (see them below), and explains the flick’s odd original moniker.
The onscreen predators “are based on a species called goblin sharks [see art at bottom], which don’t look like your normal great white,” Bradley tells us. “They’re very fearsome-looking creatures. Ours are actually larger than the real thing, but modeled on them for the look that the CG company created. People do catch these things, but ours are monsters that get released from a big underground cavern during a seaquake. The resulting tsunami washes them ashore. Not only do...

The Sci Fi Channel has set its March broadcast lineup, and with it comes the usual round of genre-movie premieres. Two of them are creature features: War Wolves and Sea Beast.
War Wolves, which airs Sunday, March 8 at 9 p.m. (its only scheduled showing), was written and directed by Michael Worth, who also stars alongside genre vets John Saxon, Tim Thomerson and Adrienne Barbeau, Natasha Alam, Alex Ballar and Blood Angels’ Siri Baruc. Saxon plays Jake Ford, leader of a special ops unit out to capture lycanthropic soldier Jake Gabriel (Worth); Jake soon discovers that three female members of his unit, including his former lover Erika (Alam), have also been infected, and a battle of the sexes and species soon begins to rage. You can see the trailer below. Sea Beast, meanwhile, is a complete unknown quantity as of now; all we know is that it debuts Saturday, March 14 at 9 p.
