- A teenage boy and a teenage girl kiss passionately in a restaurant but are interrupted.
- The film's theme involves sexuality. The main characters are a transgender woman and a 17-year old male prostitute who was sexually abused by his stepfather. There is a fair amount of very frank discussion about sexual anatomy and situations.
- A teenage boy performs oral sex on a client. The action is below the screen.
- A few instances of full frontal nudity (of both sexes): a character's penis is visible while urinating in one scene. A transgender woman stands to urinate and there is a subsequent shot of her sex organs.
- A woman (male to female transgender woman , now post-operative) is seen lying in a bathtub and touches her vagina. She does this to ensure the existence of her vagina and the touch is not meant provocatively.
- A teenage boy is shown on set working on a pornographic film. He is asked whether he has taken Viagra.

- One of the main characters buys and uses what looks like cocaine. A couple of characters smoke marijuana. One character also reports that he has taken Viagra.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Some viewers may find the scene where Toby punches Bree disturbing.
- After a hippie and a teenage boy go skinny dip at a lake, the hippie runs to the vehicle and steals the vehicle with other valuables. Some viewers may feel angry inside when seeing that scene.
- There are no frightening scenes, though the subject matter leads to some emotional conversations.

- A teenage boy and an old man have gay sexual activity in a truck. It shows the old man stripping the boy fully naked and then the old man unzips his pants and the teenage boy begins oral sex on the old man.
