Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • In cutaway shots during the opening credits, you see flashes of a double murder inside a hotel. You hear repeated screams, you hear some hitting, you see brief flashes of people being beaten brutally, and then flashes of a bloody face.
  • A drug dealer overdoses on heroin, and the couple trying to buy from him respond by stealing all of his drugs.
  • 2 psychotic police officers attempt to liven up their boring lives by shooting out the tires of random people on the road, and then claiming that they're speeding. They often throw these people on the ground, curse at them, and take their wallets. In one instance, this happens in front of an 8 year old girl.
  • As a family is driving on the road, an 8 year old girl sees blood around a car with broken windows, and a white van speeding away.
  • During the corrupt cops' latest escapade, after their attempted muggings (one of which involving the father of an 8 year old girl), the white van from above all of the sudden crashes into the drug addicted couple's car, killing the boyfriend of the drug addict and killing the husband of the other family who was repairing a flat tire (blood comes out of the boyfriend's mouth, and blood and matter splatter on the older son when the father gets crushed). All of the sudden they see a body tied up in a blanket, but it's moving, and then after that person turns out to be somebody irrelevant, the killer ties up one of the cops in the blanket, as they deem the hostage to be the suspect. The police officer accidentally kills his fellow officer, with him bleeding out rather quickly (his neck is bloody and there's some blood under his head). During this, you also see a bloody dead man with his hands tied to the steering wheel.

Profanity

  • Lots of cursing, including upwards of 40 f-words, some of which are used sexually.
  • 2 drunken, violent cops make sexually tinged wisecracks.
  • While driving down the road a song plays on the radio that the females in the passenger seats of two separate cars each sing to the males driving, loudly and suggestively. The lyrics sung are: "why can't I get just one kiss why can't I get just one kiss there may be something that I wouldn't miss but I look at your pants and I need a kiss why can't I get just one screw why can't I get just one screw believe me I know what to do but something won't let me make love to you why can't I get just one f*&^ why can't I get just one f*&^ I guess it's got something to do with luck but I waited my whole life for just one"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Beer is consumed a fair amount, one instance while driving. A drug addicted couple walks into a house in the middle of nowhere, where in the background, a group of people sit at a table with syringes in their arms, while the drug dealer is barely awake, with his eyes squinted and all of the sudden, he begins to vomit, he shakes and withers, then he stops and his eyes close, implying an overdose. The couple are shocked at first, but then laugh and decide to steal all his drugs. They're later seen snorting several lines of cocaine while driving in one scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Large number of scenes of violence, murder, intimidation, police coercion, civil rights violations, victims being abused by criminals and authorities.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • This scene is pretty graphic. Grinding and touching.
  • Strangling another woman to death with a belt while luring her in with lesbian kissing and groping.

Violence & Gore

  • Elizabeth shoots two cops (offscreen, and you see her drag out dead, bloody bodies), and as she drives away, the windows have blood on them.
  • As she walks back into the office, you see the receptionist is now dead and bloody.
  • Sam shoots Captain Billings in the heart at point blank range, with blood spurt and then it flowing on his clothes. Sam then knocks out Jack. As Jack regains consciousness, he sees the sadistic side of Sam and Elizabeth. Jack quietly reaches for his gun and aims at them, but the bullet only hits Elizabeth in the arm, with Sam then shooting Jack in the chest. Elizabeth moans with pleasure as the pain from the bullet wound comes in.
  • In a series of flashbacks it is shown that Stephanie, the 8 year old girl, saw Sam and Elizabeth embrace on the security. It is also revealed that she recognized a particular intimate hand gesture between the two of them in the hall afterward that she had seen between the killers by the roadside. You then see in another flashback that Stephanie's mother and brother were killed right after this. The brother gets shot at point blank range in the heart (although he already had his father's blood on him, he becomes bloodier immediately as he falls to the ground). The mother is also shot in the chest, with blood flowing on her shirt quickly.
  • A drug addict is strangled to death with a belt while Elizabeth lures her in for a lesbian kiss and begins to grope her.
