Embarrassing from everybody involved

This description refers especially to Hansjörg Thurn (worked on many projects directed at younger audiences in the past), the writer and director of this film, but also to pretty much everybody in the cast. The actors (also the two leads) are probably only known to people with a very deep interest into German cinema. One of the supporting actress won a German Film award for "Lola rennt" a while ago. This 90-minute movie is a huge mess and there were so many embarrassing scenes. Elena Uhlig and Pasquale Aleardi take cringeworthy to new levels here. Especially Uhlig really failed her character. It was supposed to be a self-confident character she portrays, but in the end it turned out nothing but an insecure and incredibly annoying young woman. It starts very early already when the male protagonist starts an ad with Uhlig's character. Shortly afterward, she goes bowling with her friends and has a completely random, over-the-top meltdown about how she cannot go on with her job if a hot man comes and gives up ads, because she cannot deal with how another woman will probably get him. It's even offensive to women how she keeps drooling about the guy although she does not even know him at all.

It confuses me to see Thurn worked in a crucial position on "Barfuß bis zum Hals" which is a great film, in my opinion and exactly the opposite in terms of quality compared to this mess. Feminist rambling on many occasions (99% of men do not deserve women) and the movie's title already makes me cringe. The comedy in this movie includes jokes about sex with pets. That should tell you enough. And they are trying to tell us that Veronica Ferres (one of Germany's least talented actresses) has esprit and is actually a desirable woman with her pouty face. And right when I thought things could not get any worse, when Aleardi's character of course finds out about Uhlig's character's ad, they take embarrassment to the next level and close out the movie in a weirs spiritualistic manner with the guys in weird Indian or shaman costumes. It's a bit sad for me to see Jochen Horst in crap like this. I think he has some decent range and should not appear in rubbish movies like this. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this film.
