Show Has Gone Downhill

I am heavily democratic but Joe Scarborough was one of the Republicans I admired. As an individual I still do, but his show which I used to love has become pathetic. Lately, all he does it show clips from OTHER funny shows, like The Daily Show, Colbert Report, etc. The man is not funny at all, he looks like Butthead from Beavis & Butthead. For the love of God Joe, stick to politics please or give your show to Pat Buchanan. As I watch right now he is interviewing Taylor Hicks, the latest winner of American Idol. I believe Tucker Carlson just moved past Joe Scarborough on Republicans I like. Scarborough Country has officially become a defunct version of Entertainment Tonight, only I am not entertained in the slightest.

Oh no Joe!

If by 10 at night you are a republican who still needs to be reassured about your views and opinions then Scarborough country is for you. The former member of congress, prosecutor and journalist delivers the news topics from the day from a conservative perspective, why? Because that's what he is supposed to do! However, Joe starts with an advantage because for competition on the other cable networks he has the dry Aaron Brown and the hard looking Greta van Sustern and a re-run of the eccentric Nancy Grace. So what does this show offer that the others do not meet? Well nothing, other than conservatism with a grin! Yes he is less abrasive than O'Reilly is, less pushy than Matthew's and not as supercilious as Carlson and Hannity so I suppose the dough faced Scarborough is the housewife's choice.

Never the less he defies the conventional wisdom that you have to be good looking, funny and smart to have a cable TV show because he has none of these qualities. It's not that it is a bad thing it's just that HE THINKS THAT HE IS GOOD LOOKING, FUNNY AND SMART!

What cable news is crying out for at this time is some serious news with serious analysis and the humor less Joe could probably sharpen his journalistic integrity and raise his credentials by presenting such a show which I think he might be better suited to. At that time of night I don't want liberalism, conservatism, vegetarianism, spin or a left right food fight, but serious analysis with some heavy hitters brought in like James baker and Zigbnew Brezinski not clowns like Howard Finneman and David Corn! Conservative cable hosts no more please R.I.P!
