Very sweet

This is a very simple short film about fatherhood. It begins when an obviously exasperated mother brings her little girl (about 5 or 6) to the garage and demands that the dad watch her for a while. Dad, not particularly interested, protests and the little girl is seen as a burden. However, as the day progresses, the dad loosens up and they begin to bond as they work on the car together.

As I said, this is a simple idea but because it's dealt with so deftly and sweetly, it's bound to please most people. The acting and especially the direction are excellent and I hope to see more from these folks. Ladies and soft-hearted guys in particular will enjoy it.

lovably light

This is a simple short story, that once again show the brilliance of Jackie Schulz and Greg Waters story telling.

Their ability to infuse their characters with charm and the to bring sweetness , subtlety and laughter to their plots, is captivating.

As a story this film is a snap shot of our age, of single parents and complex life's, all of which it deftly deals with in the most endearing way, within the confines of a single room.

I don't know if its the story, or the story telling, or the lighting of the pace, or the characters or the comedy, but i found this film strangely calming and i don't thing ill easily tire of it.

I never thought a spanner size could make me smile - i was wrong!
