Jaime Ray Newman: Audrey Gersons
Quotes
-
Jack : But what above love?
Audrey Gersons : Love. Love is what got me into this mess in the first place. I've had enough love.
-
Audrey Gersons : You're a nice guy, Jack. Too bad I didn't meet you a day earlier.
-
Audrey Gersons : Do you have a fear of flying?
Jack : No. I have a fear of dying.
-
Audrey Gersons : You are, remarkably, that someone.
Jack : Yeah, the guy wandering the halls in a football helmet.

[last lines]
Audrey Gersons : I am watching Jack sleep as we fly across this deep ocean that he was so weary of. Looking mysterious, yet lonely as if the sea actually fears *us*. Paris. City of light. To what could have been a brilliant beginning. But I'm a stubborn woman, damaged beyond recognition. And though he is the kindest, most gentle person I've ever known, it is too late. A cowardice possesses me, my self-deprecation making me fearless of the end. The only solace I take with me is that Jack has given me the knowing. But I am not completely dead in this wakened state.

Audrey Gersons : I'm so glad you're here.
Jack : Not for long, I took about five Valium.
