The GameCube and Xbox versions made for North America come with different features compared to the PlayStation 2 and PC versions. These include an extra playable character named Dark Globox.
It reused a lot of elements from Rayman 2: The Great Escape including the controls.
The game was originally separate from two different projects called Rayman Tribe and Rayman Shooting Fish.
Ly was originally a playable character but was scrapped in favor of Tily.
