Lovely but bland erotic romance
lor_13 October 2020
This Adam & Eve picture definitely qualifies for the label's Couples Romance specialty, but unfortunately director Nicholas Steele and writer George Kaplan opt for a soporific, soft & undramatic approach. Result is disappointing -lacking an edge.

It's one of those "folks gathering for the reading of the will" movies, set on beautiful wintry (but always in the sunlight) Big Bear locations. Steve Drake has taped a reading, which his executor August plays on her laptop for the assembled family and friends to watch and see who inherited what.

Flashbacks show the cast having sex, as well as more current humping scenes including a striking outdoor sex (in the snow) segment featuring Drake's busty ingenue daughter Eve Laurence and his trusted employee Steven St. Croix. Contract star Carmen Luvana has both boy/girl and girl/girl sex, while August narrates the show filling in the cast's back stories.

Only hint of drama or conflict comes via Britney Sky's casting as Drake's bitchy ex-wife. We see her giving the other players a hard time, but by film's happy ending she's reformed.

Odd element (and continuity error in the finished print) is presence of an unexplained character who pops up wandering around in the snowscapes with Eve and Carmen, but who is never introduced or seen arriving at the ski lodge in the first place. She's Kristie Lee, uncredited, but turns up with a lengthy interview in the DVD's BTS short subject as well as BTS excerpts of her 3-way sex scene with August and Cheyne Collins (Britney's husband in the feature).
