It really is a great show, Extreme Makeover was good enough but in How'd they do that? you get to see all the trials and tribulations they had to go through to get this project done, I've only seen a few of them but it is really nice to see, especially when you get to see how Ty does his secret rooms. It's good to see that things don't always go to plan like in one I recently watched where it took 3 attempts to pull the house down and another where they had to wait 10 minutes for the family because they were singing "The wheels on the bus." and to put their coats on. It really is a great show because you can see how they did it and if it's simple (though it is EXTREME makeover) you can make it yourself.

The choice of the family with the animal sanctuary was a bad one

For the first since I have watched this show I was disappointed in the choice of a family with an animal sanctuary. I am a biologist and I love all living things as much as anyone. It is admirable to have sanctuary for unwanted animals but never to the detriment of your children. This families house was falling apart because they putting all of their money into treating these animals like people. Wild animals are not people.
The keeping of venomous snakes made no sense whatsoever. All the native snakes should have been released to their natural environment. If they don't survive that is alright because that is the way it is supposed to be.
The education center was a good idea, however.
I understand that thousands of people request a makeover each week. I am sure that there were request from people with hungry or homeless children who were more worthy of consideration

Since few months i can see what Ty and his friends are making for people. This Series is better than movie. It's very interesting, the emotion... and more. I like this. Extreme Makeover Home Edition is the best. Every Designer in this TV series is another. I mean, isn't the same. Every designer is the specialist. I know, (i see it, i feel it) that the Ty's team knows what the home need. Every part is funny (yesterday i saw the auction of Ty's underwear, the Women's reaction was very interesting).
